How Your Fundraising Helps
The National MS Society helps people affected by multiple sclerosis by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education and providing programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.
Fundraising is all about relationships. The greater the numbers of people involved in helping you reach your goal, the greater your success. Start by identifying your sphere of influence and inviting everyone you know to help you reach your goal.
Fundraising on Facebook
Fundraise with Facebook by asking for donations and posting links to your Personal Page.
Personalize Your Participant Center
Your online Participant Center will help your fundraising efforts especially if it is personalized. The National MS Society reports that the average participant who sets up a Participant Center raises more money than those who don’t. You’ll find exciting fundraising tools at your Participant Center, including:
- A built-in thermometer to track your donations
- A variety of email messages you can send to family, friends and co-workers
- Opportunities to personalize your Participant Center page with your own story and photographs
